Waldrauschen
Bachelor thesis in Interactive Media at THA in summer 2022.
The installation conveys the feeling of a walk through the woods. This is an essential part of releving stress.
Impressions from the forest are played through audio and video on a specially designed and built projection surface.

By changing the viewer's position, the interaction can be perceived as a whole. Not only does the perspective on the projection surface and image shift, but the surrounding sounds also change and enable to hear the full experience.
A projection using two projectors reduces the risk of obstructing the view with one's shadow when moving in front of the installation.

All footage, both photos and videos, was captured in the Haunstetter Forest in Augsburg. A tripod ensures a steady and tranquil atmosphere.
The projection surface is made of styrofoam and can be disassembled into six individual pieces for easy transport. Once assembled, it measures 1m x 3m. To synchronize the images from both projectors, the 36 video strips are manually aligned in Resolume Arena.
